Regular night at the motel. Clean room and decent service.
This was my first time visiting Covington,TN. Here meeting my in laws for the first time and this hotel was a terrible experience. We checked in around 7pm July 3rd 2017. We should've asked to see the room before reserving it. This room was filthy cigarette burns in the comforter. The room smelled moldy. The bathroom shower curtain was dirty with mold on the bottom, mold around the outside of the tub. The sheets had stains on them with an odor. We went to the front desk to speak with the night clerk she was VERY rude , unprofessional, and prejudice . Her only response was," I'm the only one here tonight, sorry". With it being so late at night we really had no choice but to stay, not much to choose from in such a small town. So we went and purchased bleached and febreze to clean and freshen the room before we even laid down. Whatever you do ask to see your room before reserving at this hotel.
Front desk person very helpful. Room quiet and clean. Carpet very old & worn. Some minor issues - such as door to bathroom was broken No shampoo or conditioner.
I have been very pleased with updates and Motel 6 the past few years; and this one was good for the price. My main requirement is that it's clean. The floors, sink area, bathtub and toilet were all very clean. The sofa was worn and dirty, but it was just me there so it was fine. Nice large TV, and decent updates. I did find a hair on my pillow and that made me feel a little uncomfortable and questioning the cleanliness, but that was my only negative find. I have issues with seeing hair - even my own family - so to some it may not have been an issue!
The rooms were very clean, the day front desk clerk is so sweet. All the housekeepers were gracious and kind.
Quiet on the end by the pool - but a little eerie at nighttime in the secluded area. Very frustrating that their ice vending machine was down - and I wasn't told at check in. I had to go to McDonalds (which is a minute away - but still) at 11pm for water.... Not fun to do. The price is good and the evening cashier was friendly.
