Do not believe what they write in truck descriptions. Truck I went to see was advertised as “good rubber, runs great, clean”. Tires were 30% at best, hasn’t been run for months (there was a vine growing up the side), and the inside and out were dirty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Looked at a couple of other trucks while I was there and found the same problems. Trucks look nice twenty feet away or in pictures online but when you take a closer look they are not worth the money or time.
I had a great experience with Baskin Truck Sales. My salesman was Chase and he was very helpful and straight forward with me. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars was because sometimes I had a hard time contacting him but after being there I realize it is because he and the other salesman are CRAZY busy there. Maybe they need a couple more salesman but that isn't my call. They have a GREAT selection of trucks and the truck was as described. I am from Oregon and drove the truck home 2700 miles over 8 days and the only issue was a blown tire. That is pretty amazing in my book. I am super happy with my new truck and would use Chase again when I'm looking for another truck.
Well where to start been looking at a trailer online for a good period of time, then decided to pursue purchasing it, this is where the trouble began every time I called someone answered and sounded like they had a mouthful of mash potatoes couldn't even understand their name only to be hung up on numerous times or to be told they would call right back only to never here back. then when I called and asked for someone in charge I got Skip who told me after a bit of negotiation's he would take 11500. for the trailer listed for 12000. I wanted to think about this and did. called back a few days later to only be told by a different man 12000. was bottom dollar and I said I was told less a few days ago but I wanted to make a offer and I made a legit offer and was told he would call back never did. Now call back speak to owner who states price is 13000. not a penny less. we say no its listed for 12000. and were told 11500. he said nope its 13000. now should of bought it yesterday and hangs up. Well Don you have some unique business practices and seem to be in the business of not selling stuff the way you treat customers, trailer has been for sale for months for 12000 now you change ad to 13000. why? is it because someone showed interest? And congratulations on you super low review ratings you must be proud!!
READ BEFORE BUYING!! We bought an expensive dump truck from them and have had nothing but problems. To top the problems off, The dump bed that they conveniently forgot to tell us was aftermarket installed (Wasn’t actually a dump truck originally) came off the truck while dumping material. They lied to us and I am telling you stay far away!!!!
Would NOT Recommend this company, BAD BUSINESS!!!. Last week we called and spoke with Lance about a truck we saw online. We informed him we were from North Carolina and we would have to fly there to pick up the truck. We booked a flight for our owner but had to postpone the flight due to Hurricane Irene and the airport cancelling flights. I called them to let them know that our owner would be there on 09/19/17. I asked him if he could call me if they sold the truck, Lance told me NO i could call back on Friday. Our owner called on 09/18/17 and verified that they still had the truck on site, we then confirmed our flight. Not even two hours later our owner called about the cashiers check we were going to bring and that's when Lance said the boss (Skip) just sold that truck to someone else. We were told Skip said whoever walks in the door with the money first is how he does business. After dealing with these people for over a week and how rude they ALL are I am glad they did not get our money.
